It’s that time again!
The Live Oaks Photography IMPACT Award is now in its third year, and because of this incredible community, it has become something even more meaningful than I could have imagined. Last year, you more than doubled participation through nominations, votes, and shares. The stories that came in and the way this community rallied to celebrate these individuals was truly something special. I can't wait to see what we do together this year!
The IMPACT Award exists to celebrate individuals who embody kindness, integrity, service, love, and joy, the ones who make a positive difference simply by the way they live and how they treat others.
And this year, we've got an exciting update.
After seeing the impact this had on the seniors themselves...the encouragement, the confidence, and the way they were able to feel truly seen...it became clear that this is where the need and momentum are especially strong right now. So for the 2026 IMPACT Award, instead of recognizing one senior and one small business owner, we will be celebrating TWO outstanding rising high school seniors (Class of 2027).
And once again, the best part? YOU get to help nominate and vote for the winners.
Know a rising senior (c/o 2027) who reflects these values and is making a difference in our community? I would love for you to nominate them. You can even submit nominations for multiple people because we all know our community is FULL of incredible seniors who deserve to be seen and celebrated.
Nominations close on Thursday, April 16th, so don’t wait! Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Facebook for updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and the opportunity to vote and help choose this year’s recipients. Each IMPACT Award recipient will receive a Senior Express photo session plus images (valued at over $1000) to be completed before August 31, 2026.
And finally, please SHARE and help spread the word! Send it to a friend, text it to grandma, share it in your mom's group, local facebook groups, Bible study, youth group… wherever your people are. Wherever you have influence, this is a beautiful way to use it. Y’all showed up BIG last year… let’s see if we can break that record this time. The more nominations we receive, the more incredible stories and teens we get to celebrate.
