2026 IMPACT Award Nominees

Francie Rogers

Tell us all about your nominee and why you believe they deserve this award.

Francie is the kind of person whose impact is felt long before it is ever recognized. She embodies kindness, integrity, service, love, and joy not as occasional acts, but as a way of life. Francie brings a quiet light that lifts others and makes them feel seen, valued, and appreciated. As a sophomore in high school, Francie demonstrated remarkable courage and authenticity when she stood before a room full of her peers and shared her personal testimony about what it means to walk with Jesus. She spoke boldly about the importance of serving others, showing kindness, and living in a way that reflects faith through actions. Her willingness to be open, vulnerable, and grounded in her beliefs is a testament to her integrity and strength of character. Francie is deeply respected and admired by those around her, which is evident in her being chosen as a member of the homecoming court. She leads not by seeking attention, but by consistently treating others with respect, offering encouragement, and stepping in to help wherever she is needed. She is the kind of person who notices when someone is having a hard day and quietly works to make it better. Her dedication and well-rounded character extend into every area of her life. Francie maintains a high GPA while balancing her many commitments, including her long-standing passion for cheerleading—something she has pursued since the age of four. She is also a talented violinist, demonstrating both discipline and creativity. In recognition of her character and contributions, she was honored with the Panther Award in 2022. Above all, Francie radiates joy. Her positivity is genuine and uplifting, and it leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. Whether she is serving others, encouraging a friend, or simply sharing a smile, she consistently makes the world around her brighter. As a twin to her sister, Gi, she also exemplifies the importance of family, connection, and love. Francie makes a positive difference simply by the way she lives and how she treats others. She is a shining example of what it means to lead with kindness, live with purpose, and inspire others through both words and actions. For these reasons, she is truly deserving of the IMPACT Award.

What kind of impact or benefit will this have for your nominee?

Receiving the IMPACT Award would be meaningful not only for Francie, but for everyone in a world that often celebrates achievement over integrity. Honoring someone for kindness, honesty, joy, and service sends a powerful message. This recognition would not only affirm Francie’s way of life, but also inspire others to follow her example. Additionally, this award would have a tangible and meaningful impact on Francie and her family. As a senior and a twin, the financial responsibilities associated with milestone experiences can be significant. Preparing for the transition to college, participating in senior events, and capturing these once-in-a-lifetime moments all require financial resources. At times, having two children reaching these milestones simultaneously means that certain opportunities must be limited or set aside. Being awarded the IMPACT Award would help ease some of these financial challenges and allow Francie to fully experience

Virginia (Gi) Rogers

Tell us all about your nominee and why you believe they deserve this award.

Gi is the kind of person whose impact is often felt in the quiet, steady ways that matter most. Through her gentle spirit and thoughtful actions, she consistently demonstrates kindness, integrity, service, love, and joy. She does not seek recognition or attention; instead, she allows her actions to speak for her, reflecting a deep and genuine care for others. Gi serves and uplifts those around her through her quiet demeanor and selfless heart. She has a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, valued, and purposeful. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply her presence, she ensures that those around her know they matter. Her life is a reflection of her faith, as she consistently witnesses to others not through grand displays, but through daily acts of love and humility. Her social media presence is another testament to her character and beliefs. Gi uses her platform to encourage others, share her faith, and remind people of their worth and purpose. She is intentional in building others up, pointing them toward hope and truth, and demonstrating what it means to live a life rooted in faith and service. Gi’s dedication and discipline are evident in all areas of her life. She is an active member of her high school’s track and cross country teams and plays the cello in the orchestra, balancing these commitments while maintaining a high GPA at Starr’s Mill High School. Her work ethic and perseverance reflect her commitment to excellence, not for recognition, but because she gives her best in all that she does. Above all, Gi radiates joy. It is seen in her warm smile and felt in the way she speaks to others—with kindness, patience, and sincerity. Throughout her life, she has naturally sought out those in need of friendship, making them feel included, loved, and supported. She has a unique gift for reaching those who may feel overlooked and reminding them that they are not alone. As a twin to her sister, Francie, she also reflects the strength of family, connection, and shared values, each uplifting and encouraging the other in meaningful ways. Gi is also an active participant at church, where she continues to grow in her faith and serve others with humility and grace. She is deeply admired by her peers, not because she seeks influence, but because of the quiet strength and authenticity she carries. Gi deserves this award because she represents a powerful and often overlooked kind of impact. In a world where loud voices are frequently recognized, Gi’s quiet, consistent love speaks volumes. Her life is a testament to selflessness, compassion, and unwavering faith. She is always serving, always helping, and always putting others before herself. For all of these reasons, Gi is truly deserving of the IMPACT Award.

What kind of impact or benefit will this have for your nominee?

Receiving the IMPACT Award would be meaningful not only for Gi, but for everyone who witnesses the recognition of her character. In a world that often celebrates achievement over integrity, honoring someone for kindness, honesty, joy, and service sends a powerful message. This recognition would not only affirm Gi’s way of life, but also inspire others to follow her example. Additionally, this award would have a tangible and meaningful impact on Gi and her family. Being awarded the IMPACT Award would help ease some of these financial challenges and allow Gi to fully experience and preserve this important season of her life.

Parker Boynton

Tell us all about your nominee and why you believe they deserve this award.

I would like to nominate my little brother, Parker Boynton, for the IMPACT award. Parker is an all around nice guy, but he also does so much at church for our community. He is on the Student Leadership Team for the youth group at New Hope Baptist Church, but he also is an intern at New Hope Weekday. He helps the director wherever he’s needed. He’s involved with helping out in chapel for the three year olds through kindergarten children. He loves the kids and enjoys getting to play or act silly with them. He also helps the littles in our neighborhood. He has given soccer lessons, since he is on EC’s Varsity Men’s Team, but is considered all of the little kids’ “best friend” in our neighborhood. He is Christ like & treats everyone with love & respect. While he doesn’t love academics, he enjoys the opportunities to interact & help others at school.

What kind of impact or benefit will this have for your nominee?

Parker doesn’t love attention, but deserves some credit for all he does to make everyone feel welcome. He most likely will not receive academic acclaim, but he is such a great young man. He is always there for his friends. He introduces himself to people who may not feel included & he takes his responsibility to share Christlike attributes seriously. He reminds me so much of our Pappy, who passed away in 2022. Everyone who met Pappy became his friend. And I feel like Parker represents Christ well in all of his endeavors.

Sophia Barfield

Tell us all about your nominee and why you believe they deserve this award.

Sophia makes a positive impact by building meaningful connections with others, especially children and the elderly, through babysitting, volunteering, and simply being someone people are drawn to. She serves her community with a genuine love for others, whether that’s working, helping neighbors, or volunteering with elderly programs. She leads by example through her responsibility, work ethic, and kindness in everyday life. Sophia has always been drawn to caring for others, she loved participating in programs through CEC where she spent time in nursing homes and hospitals, and she continues to seek out opportunities to connect with and serve both the elderly and children in her everyday life. She has such a genuine, kind heart, neighborhood kids are naturally drawn to her and often stop by just to see her. She goes out of her way to make people feel seen and cared for, even in small, everyday moments.

What kind of impact or benefit will this have for your nominee?

I think this would truly encourage her confidence and help her see herself the way others see her. She is humble and doesn’t always recognize how special she is, and I would love for her to feel celebrated and seen.

Naya Boire

Tell us all about your nominee and why you believe they deserve this award.

Naya has a servant heart. She is a theater kid who has overstepped fears and recently directed her first play. Beyond acting and singing, she is head up makeup/wigs for the upcoming ECHS Spring musical. She is taking dual enrollment classes and an AP. She serves with the special needs ministry at our church.

What kind of impact or benefit will this have for your nominee?

Naya would not go out and ask for something like this. She is humble and would never ask for a professional photo shoot.

Emma Hallock

Tell us all about your nominee and why you believe they deserve this award.

Emma embodies all the attributes the IMPACT award honors. She has spent her high school years focusing on others as a small group leader for elementary age kids, as well as various service projects including a week in Jamaica painting and loving on the children there. But a lot of the qualities she embodies are not the ones that show up in awards and trophies. It’s the everyday moments where she puts other’s needs in front of her own. Letting her sisters choose the activity or restaurant for dinner. And being the kind of friend that encourages their passions by showing up to lacrosse games to root them on or to their Eagle Scout ceremonies. All this while feeling a true joy in their accomplishments. She is empathic, kind and selfless.

What kind of impact or benefit will this have for your nominee?

For someone who can be very others focused, Emma often puts herself last. An experience like this would allow her to feel some of the love she’s always pouring into others and maybe see how beautiful she is too.
